FOSTERING A DOG

If you would like to help us save more dogs by fostering a dog for Recycled Doggies, please email us at recycleddoggies@gmail.com and request a foster parent application.  When you foster a recycled doggy, we provide the necessary vet care for the dog, but we do require that you use one of our approved veterinarians and get pre-approval before going to the vet. We can provide a crate if needed.  We can sometimes provide food, but not always. Foster parents are responsible for bringing their foster dog(s) to adoption events.  We generally ask that foster parents commit to keeping the foster dog until the dog finds its forever home unless other arrangements are made in advance.  If a fostering situation isn't working out, we do ask for your patience, as we will need to juggle dogs to take back a dog that has been in foster care. Since we don't have a facility, a failed fostering experience causes us a hardship as we generally don't have openings - we save new dogs every time a space opens up.  We will work to get the dog back from you as quickly as we can.

VOLUNTEERING

We are always looking for volunteers for our adoption events. Volunteers walk dogs, keep their crates clean, talk to potential adopters, fill water bowls, and spend time with the doggies.  Please watch our website for information about our adoption events and email us if you see an event you would like to help with.  recycleddoggies@gmail.com Mature children age 12 and over are welcome with parental consent.  Children younger than 12 may be able to help if a parent/guardian stays at the event with the child.
